I've been tagged too...

  • I am thinking about - How to spend this weekend, planning for a swim and a visit to Meenakshi Amman temple(yes,am travelling this weekend to Madurai)
  • I said - All the best to myself this morning for the release I have today
  • I want to - erase the concept of caste,community,creed and any kind of differentiation in the society
  • I wish - I could rewind life to a specific point where a decision was made, turning my life all around.
  • I miss - school life and those memorable years in college!
  • I hear - my son shouting "ammaa" when am not paying attention to him and am engaged in cooking/talking!
  • I wonder - if the whole world dislikes working mothers??
  • I need - a long holiday in a new destination with my family with no calls/reminders/mails from office.
  • I regret - over my hasty decisions in life.
  • I dance - to my favourite numbers,all time favourite - fanaa(yuva) and koi kahe kehta Rahe (dil chahta hai).
  • I cry - alone,I hate to share my tears with anyone.
  • I am not always - as patient and calm as I seem to be,to get to see the real me,come home!!
  • I make with my hands - Food for my family
  • I write - a lot! Poems,reviews,blogs,emails,letters(in-land) too.
  • I confuse - over nothing.. rarely confused
  • I should try - to meet my old friends whom I've lost touch completely..
  • Learning to - be more patient.
  • I should finish - completing a document am creating as a white paper for a new kind of an extract implementation in Oracle Apps.(long pending)
  • I know - that I have my own aspirations in life,and should never feel content in my career.My Every step has a destination!
  • I am - What I wanted to be in life (A software engr,mom of a lovely boy,live in India,close to my parents)

THE BEAUTY OF OLD WOMEN

When I was flipping through the pages of an old book I came across this wonderful quote by Harriet Beecher Stowe "So much has been said and sung of beautiful young girls, why don't somebody wake up to the beauty of old women?" So much truth in this expression. I particularly love women who are aged - be it Indians or women from any part of the globe who carry themselves very well. I met an old lady in a very small village recently, she is over 90 years- she still toils in the little bit of agricultural land that she owns, has never been to the doctor at all - she has 3 children, all of them educated and settled in different parts of the country. She also told me that she took care of her delivery all by herself! WOW!! I asked her for her name, she said you can call me paati (thats how you say grandmother in tamizh).
